Review: Wildfire

Wildfire Wildfire by Toni Draper
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Finished on July 28, 2021
Favorite Scene/Quote: Love at First Write

This book has mixed reviews and I get why it does. I had a lot of feelings about this book while reading it. Some were good, others not so much. This is Toni Draper’s debut novel and I commend Draper for writing and publishing a book. I also received an ARC of this book from the publisher in a giveaway. So, here is my honest opinion about this book.

Review: The Holiday Detour

The Holiday Detour The Holiday Detour by Jane Kolven
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Finished on May 27, 2021
Favorite Scene/Quote: "It seemed like a very strange coincidence, one that was probably totally fictional and that would result in me being in forty-five pieces buried in the woods."

The premise for this book was interesting enough. It sounded like a cheesy insta-love holiday rom-com. At some points it read like one, but at other points it just felt under developed.

Favorite Scene/Quote: "I want you so badly my whole body aches, but I can't."

I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this book. Parts of it were interesting enough, but other parts didn’t feel earned.

Review: Party Wall

Party Wall Party Wall by Cheyenne Blue
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Finished on March 2, 2021
Favorite Scene/Quote: Their first date

This is my first Cheyenne Blue book, and I don’t know if it was the best way to start off. I’ll likely try more of her books in the future, but this book didn’t work for me.

Review: Taking a Shot at Love

Taking a Shot at Love Taking a Shot at Love by K.C. Richardson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Finished on January 19, 2021
Favorite Scene/Quote: "Sometimes, what you thought you wanted turns out to be something entirely different. It's okay if your dreams change along the way."

I wanted to like this book more than I did. The idea interested me. A basketball coach and an English professor who initially bond over a basketball player’s struggling grades. It felt like a good setup.
