Review:
I read this at a time where I just didn't have the focus for longer-length novels. This is a novella just around 90-100 pages. I still didn't read it all in one go, but I did finish it in a couple nights.

I wish I had more to say about this book, but I find that I don't. Not in a negative way, just don't have much to say. The characters were interesting enough, but I personally had an issue keeping track of who was who. Definitely a me problem, just thought I'd mention it in case I mess something up in the review. They both seemed sweet enough but there wasn't a lot of time for development or anything like that. I did quite like their interactions though. They were sweet together and had decent enough chemistry.

The story itself was pretty good. I enjoyed reading it. The idea of a thief-turned-lady's maid and a disowned woman staying with her lady pairing up is interesting. It didn't have any unnecessary drama and didn't drag anything out too long. It was cute to watch their interactions, especially since Molly was very reserved.

I did wish this story was longer. Especially since the author tried to add in the drama around Molly's dad and the other guy. It just felt like there needed to be more pages to fully develop the drama. It also felt like the relationship between the two needed more time to develop, especially since this novella is set in historical times. There's usually outside forces the characters have to deal with to be together in historical romances.

This is definitely a worthy read. It's not long so don't expect a lot of development, but it is good. This book kind of personifies the "be gay, do crime" ideology.
