Review:
I was super excited to be able to read this book and talk with Margherita about how this book came to be. I haven't read many T4T books and I'm always excited to read more books like this. This book sounded right up my alley and I am so pleased that I enjoyed it as much as I did.

One of my absolute favorite parts of this book is very clearly Alex. I just found Alex to be a very relatable character and I loved following them on their journey as they discovered more about who they are and tried to overcome some of their problems. This is a character who deals with quite a bit of anxiety and I will admit that I was a bit worried at first that the anxiety would either be overwhelming (to me, as someone with anxiety) or that the anxiety would feel.not false exactly but something similar. It wasn't anything like that. It's clear that the author allowed themselves to be vulnerable when writing Alex and that allowed Alex to feel authentic, even when it wasn't always comfortable.

I also loved the other characters in the book as well. Tate was a great character to have as the love interest because he was an absolute sweetheart but he also had his own problems that he dealt with. I found that he didn't feel like a one-sided character with no depth to him which isn't true about some love interests. I genuinely enjoyed him as a character and I loved how patient he was with Alex. Xiuying was an absolute pleasure! She was fun and slightly overbearing at times but she also knew where people's boundaries were and didn't force her way past them. Sweet but willing to call people out on their behavior and when they're being unwise. Uriah is absolutely amazing and I could honestly spend hours reading a book about him. He just sounds too good to be true in all honesty. And even though we didn't get a whole lot with them I also really liked Sky and Nick both seem amazing. I really like books where I find myself just as charmed by the side characters as I do the main ones.

One of the things that I really appreciated about this book was the pacing. The relationship moved at a believable pace and I appreciated that Alex was given the time to feel awkward and be uncomfortable because of their anxiety. It wasn't love at first sight and they immediately jumped into a committed relationship. There was a nice build-up of their friendship and their relationship. There were misunderstandings that had to be cleared up and there were some awkward moments. It felt good and authentic.

I had hoped to like this book and I am so glad that I did! I thought this book was just an absolute pleasure to read! The characters were a lot of fun and felt quite authentic, the relationship and the book moved at a steady pace, and I loved the journey that the main character took throughout the book. This book hit all the points for me and I am thrilled about it. I hope other people enjoy it as much as I did and I hope I get to read another book by this author soon.
