I really love the illustrations in this book! The art is so clean and the colors fit together so perfectly! Characters were drawn with enough distinction that I didn't have to worry about accidentally mixing them up, which I do sometimes in other books.
The characters were intensely interesting! I enjoyed them while reading the first book and I truly grew to love and respect these characters in the second book. They're unique and constantly keep me on my toes waiting to see what they'll do next.
This is a rich world full of intrigue and twists and interesting characters. It's a world that draws you in and tries to cling to you as you attempt to leave. Two books in and I'm waiting to see where this story goes next.
