Favorite Thing:
The little skunk that kept randomly appearing
Review:
I was very lucky to get to take part in a tour for this book. I enjoy children's books especially when they can be used to teach children something. Especially things around science, math, or animals. What can I say? I love educational books around STEM topics.
The art in this book is gorgeous. It's kind of a beautifully subdued drawing style. Sometimes it will take up most the page, other times the art will mainly be focused in the center area. It's absolutely beautiful. Personally I also really loved the random skunks in the drawings. Just so cute.
I love how this book was written. The book focuses on our main character as it's time to harvest the honey. I enjoyed that it seemed like this was the first time she's been through the entire process. It gave a good reason for everything to be explained on the page.
This book was gorgeous and I actually really enjoyed learning more about how honey is harvested. This book did leave me wanting honey though and I didn't have any. Shame.
