I can confidently say that even after finishing this story, I have absolutely no idea what happened. This could be more of a me issue.
You might be wondering why a book I didn’t understand is getting a 4 out of 5. Well, I understood some of it. Enough to get a general gist of what was going on. The truth is I give it a 4 because I actually really loved it. I thought it was an intriguing premise and I was on the edge while reading it.
The art and use of color, or lack thereof, was absolutely amazing. I adored the way the red contrasted with the black and whites. It was beautiful and worked really well at helping to build the spooky atmosphere.
