Thank you so much to TBR and Beyond Tours for allowing me to take part in this tour for Sink or Swim. I am an absolute sucker for graphic novels, especialyl ones that have LGBTQ+ rep in them. I just find them to be really enjoyable stories that are also quick reads for me.

be.
After weeks of ignoring his friends, Ty isn’t sure how to connect with them again in summer

gain confidence in himself and fix everything before it’s too late?
Review:
I really enjoyed this book. That's the quickest way to get my thoughts out. It wasn't perfect, but I thought it was a really enjoyable read with likeable characters and relatable problems.
I loved the characters! Ty was a really fun character to follow because you understood the emotions that he was feeling. He was self-conscious and worried and I just feel like that's a very relatable thing. Even if it's not the exact same reason, people have felt this way before. The side characters were also interesting. Not always likeable, but not in a cruel way. Most of them are kids, going through kid things. So their emotions sometimes get the better of them.
The art in this book is so beautiful! It's clean cut with nice lines that are sharp as in clean, but nice and round in a way that I just find pleasing to the eyes. The illustrations are filled with color and it's so engaging. I was constantly drawn into the pictures and enjoying the emotions on the characters faces. The backgrounds weren't brimming with details, but I think that worked well to keep the focus on the story.
This was a nice little story. Decently long for a graphic novel, but it was an engaging story. The colors drew me into the story and the characters and plot kept me hoooked into it. I really enjoyed the story.
