Review:
This book was an absolute joy to read and I am so thankful to Rockstar and the publisher for allowing me access to it. I recently rediscovered a love of children's books and this one was so much fun to read.
The artwork and colors in this book are absolutely beautiful. I love the crisp linework and the way the colors mesh and pop. It looks so beautiful and entranced me.
This story is one that has a really nice message. It has the message of allowing people to be themselves, it won't hurt you. It has a hint of a transgender coming out story, but not quite. Mainly the wording of "I want to be" rather than "I am" sort of thing. Regardless, it's a great message. It's also shown in a way that works for younger kids.
This was a great book. Fun and colorful with an important message. Geared towards kids but I know a few adults who could benefit from this message.
